spring duet & 4 Haiku— Published by: Otata 39, pp. 82-83

spring duet

snowmelt

earth exhales

green fingers

earth inhales

blooming daffodil

slips down a mole hole

~~~
acorn grows
choking and spitting dirt
topples the stone fence
~~~

overhead

shaking out a blanket —

birds in migration

~~~
orange and black lattice —
a monarch lights
a white hydrangea
~~~

fierce darkness

the missing moon

of visiting day
